Rincon Power’s High Voltage Battery Disconnects (HVBD) are manual safety disconnect (MSD) switches designed for isolating high voltage battery packs during maintenance or storage in applications like industrial equipment, energy storage systems, and electric vehicles. The rotary switch lever ensures power is safely switched off and is compatible with common OSHA lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. In the "on" position, the device offers ultra-low contact resistance for impressive current carry in a compact form, while the "off" position provides industry-leading dielectric performance, effectively isolating voltages up to 1500V.

High Voltage Battery Disconnects

Rincon Power’s High Voltage Battery Disconnects deliver exceptional performance and reliability, even in harsh environments. Our patented hermetically sealed contact chamber with a welded bellows design ensures high-temperature performance (up to 175°C) and ultra-low contact resistance in an oxygen-free environment. Unlike traditional designs that use o-ring seals, our HVBDs feature the only hermetically sealed contact chamber on the market, guaranteeing 1500V isolation and durability at any altitude. The welded bellows actuator provides superior fatigue strength, extending the mechanical life of the device. Optional SPDT auxiliary contacts offer additional flexibility for system integration.

To improve installation and prevent accidental damage, the devices feature integrated compression limiters into the mounting holes, which increase the housing's crush strength and minimize the loosening of fasteners over time.

Ideal for isolating high voltage and carrying current, our HVBDs safely disconnect high voltage battery packs during maintenance and storage. If your application requires make/break power switching, contact us for assistance. Note: these devices are not intended for make/break power switching above 100V.
